First up, our 4 Emcees for the Evening:

Laura Michaels, Foodservice News

Events Editor Laura Michaels is an award-winning journalist who covers Minnesota’s dynamic foodservice industry. She’s developed an inside track to the top chefs in the local restaurant scene and the people who make this important business segment work. She is also the managing editor of sister publication Franchise Times and has more than a decade of experience as a magazine and newspaper editor.




Nancy Weingartner Monroe

Nancy Weingartner Monroe is the editor of Foodservice News and producer of the Charlie Awards. This is FSN’s first year of producing The Charlies, which moved from a November timeframe to February 25 at the Pantages Theater. An award-winning writer, Nancy covers the food scene’s personalities and events with humor and an eye toward what’s noteworthy and interesting in the localand statewide food community.



Amol Dixit, Hot Indian Foods

Amol is the founder and owner of Hot Indian Foods, an Indian brand with a food truck, one quick-serve restaurant inside the Midtown Global Market, and a stall inside Target Field. Prior to starting Hot Indian Foods in 2013, he spent 15 years at General Mills, where he worked in marketing, corporate strategy and corporate venture capital. Amol lives in the Linden Hills neighborhood with his wife, Pallavi, and his two kids, Raina and Deccan, and is a die-hard fan of the Pittsburg Steelers and ‘80s music.



Roshini Rajkumar

Roshini is host of News & Views with Roshini Rajkumar on WCCO Radio and an analyst for media outlets around the country, including Twin Cities Live on KSTP-TV, Breaking the News on KARE-TV, and Business for Breakfast on KDMT in Denver. When she’s not on the air, Roshini is an executive coach, keynote speaker and business columnist—and foodie.
